Queen Charlotte Track

When Jenn and Miles were here we took two trips outside of Wellington, one up north and the other to the south island. After we did the trip up north we took the ferry across the Cook Straight to the south island for a 2 day hike on the Queen Charlotte Track that overlooks the Marlborough Sounds. It is a beautiful place to hike with ridge line walks. The first day was intense as most of the 3 hour hike was a climb and the second day was bit more leveled off with a few beaches along the way. We had a great time and I think Jenn and Miles got a good taste of the beauty of the south island. Thanks again for visiting we miss you guys already!

Auckland and Coromandel

April was a great month because we had our first visitors!!!! Thank you so much Jenn and Miles for coming to visit we had a great time with you guys and I am so glad we could show you around New Zealand. We had just over a week with Jenn and Miles so we gave them the express tour :) First we checked out Auckland and the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula. The weather wasn't so great but we made the best of it. The scenery is beautiful there and we did a few short walks/hikes and the guys had fun climbing over huge boulders and checking out caves (Jenn and I used our time wisely by chatting on the beach and drinking beer). Oh and Jenn experienced driving on the left side of the road.......scary experience for all of us.
