This week I remembered to take the camera with me as I walked around town to show you all a bit of the city. Downtown is basically broken into two areas one being the Central Business District and the other is known as Cuba where there are tons of shops, restaurants and bars. I also took the cable car up from the CBD to Wellington Botanical Gardens. It is a quick trip with some great views. Hope you like the pics.
We also took some pics of the city from nearby Mount Victoria lookout while watching the sunset and some hot air balloons prepare for takeoff :) Unfortunately the wind picked up and all we got to see is a really good light show since the balloon pilots determined it unsafe for an evening flight. First pic is one of the southern bays on the outskirts of the city and the rest show city center or surrounding neighborhoods. Hopefully you can get a feel for the way the hills surround the city center and people live in the hills, the valleys between the hills and sometimes on top of the hills!
Our weather is fading into the Fall over here . . . everyone enjoy the Spring back home!
